The Battle Spirits game debuted in Japan September 2008 after Bandai spent three years developing this "new generation of trading card game." The cards represent dragons, demons, birds, insects, and other spirits that the players control in battles. Bandai said the game is distinguished by its fast gameplay and immediate turnarounds.
