DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and Release Automation allow you to ship your software quicker, easier, and cheaper. Getting there isn't as simple as flipping a switch. You need a realistic, measured, and incremental approach in order to adopt these practices. That's where Inedo comes in.
They're often asked about the meaning behind their name. As it so happens, "inedo" is a compound word comprised of in (the common English word) and edo (the Japanese Renaissance period) -- the combination of which imbue their philosophy of rethinking and renewing the way in which they build software.
Their name has absolutely, positively nothing-at-all whatsoever to do with the fact that it was an available and cool-sounding five-letter domain name. Really! Oh, and they pronounce it in-ee-doe, but you're welcome to pronounce it differently.
They absolutely love the opportunity to branch out from building software and try their hand at other creative projects. They had a few smaller projects in the past that you might remember, but they really hit a sweet spot in 2014 when they launched the Kickstarter campaign for Release! a card game about creating software.
After the success of Release! they were approached with another idea that really excited them: an ABC book teaching toddlers a little about programming, with a few added surprises for the code-savvy adult.
Inedo offers up free swag in addition to the free stickers. All you have to do is fill out their free swag form with your name and mailing address along with what swag you'd like. They have pens. These pens have a fun little light on them, and a squishy bit you can use as a stylus - which is great for some creative doodling on your phone or tablet. The most important part, the actual pen, glides like a dream across paper. You're sure to love it! Hats are also available. As everyone is aware - Winter is Coming. This classic, black hat that is sure to keep your ears warm on even the coldest winter day. They've only got two oldies but goodies in their conference swag portfolio as of now, Just in Time Business Cards, and CodeMashup: The Game. They also provide some editions of Release! the Game for conferences as well. Contact them if you're interested in any of their swag from the past, present, or future.
