Heifer's classroom resources give teachers the resources to educate their students about their world neighbors, hunger and poverty and sustainable development while inspiring students to help Heifer build a better world.
Each program meets national learning standards, are flexible (use one or all) and help lead students on the path to active global citizenship.
Their Pre-K through sixth grade Global Education Resource Kits resource kits put a new spin on courses like English, geography, science and others. Posters, maps, videos and action ideas support and enrich the lesson plans. You can order a free kit.
Their middle school program, Global Education to Improve Tomorrow (Get IT!), teaches students about their roles as consumers and the effects their choices have in the global marketplace, while emphasizing reading comprehension, audience-based writing, high-level thinking and research strategies.
