The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum is a new, innovative program that builds on children's affinity for animals and highlights the unique characteristics and desirability of Mutt-i-grees or shelter dogs. The Curriculum teaches social and emotional skills and is unique in its bridging of humane education and the emerging field of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). In a series of easily implemented lessons, children learn critical skills that will help them in school, at home, and later on in the workplace and in their interactions with people and, of course, with animals.
The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum was developed by The Pet Savers Foundation, in collaboration with the Yale University School of the 21st Century, and was graciously funded by The Millan Foundation.
The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum Kits for Pre-K through 3rd grade and for Grades 4 through 6 are available now upon request by a principal from an accredited elementary school or by the director of a Head Start or Pre-K program. Each school is eligible to receive one (1) complimentary Pre-K - Grade 3 kit and one (1) complimentary Grades 4-6 kit (while supplies last) which includes access to user specific content on their website.
