Each April since 1981, OVC has helped lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) by promoting victims' rights and honoring crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.
President Barak Obama proclaims April 18-24, 2010, as National Crime Victims' Rights Week. This year's theme, "Crime Victims' Rights: Fairness. Dignity. Respect." reminds us of the core rights that all crime victims want and deserve-the right to be treated fairly and with dignity and respect.
Sign up for the National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) Mailing List to receive-
* A copy of the 2011 NCVRW Resource Guide and theme poster; * E-mail notification when the Resource Guide is available to download from the OVC Web site; * Details concerning NCVRW prelude events; and * Information about the National Crime Victims' Service Awards.
